For centuries, prayer beads have been used as an aid to prayer and
contemplation, spanning perhaps every major religious tradition
in the world.
In
recent years, a new type of rosary has been designed. This version
broadens the paradigm of using a circle of beads for personal and
group spiritual development.
A Rosary For All Christians uses crosses of carved
wood, sterling silver, solid copper, and pewter in silver or gold.
We use three cross designs (Celtic, Coptic and Peace Dove). We offer
you crosses with time-honored, well grounded Christian symbolism.
|
We have an entire page on our website to explain the symbolism
of the rosary crosses.
The cross is combined with beads of your choice using natural elements:
glass, wood and dyed fossil. The fossil beads are actually crushed
sea fossils, dyed various colors.
The rosary has the potential of drawing those who use it into a
deeper walk with God. Others have discovered a myriad of ways the
rosary has played a significant role in their life. You can read testimonials from our users and then send us your comments so we can add
them to our website.
The wonderful part of this new design is to honor
the changing vistas of spiritual development for modern Christian
thought. Although it was a contemplative prayer group in a Dallas
Episcopal church who developed this Anglican design, the ecumenical
aspect, especially the use of different crosses used by A Rosary For All Christians,
has opened up an ancient aid to prayer and contemplation to all
who wish to develop their personal design for their personal spiritual
journey.
